    Default Pine Warbler

Found this guy at the edge of a field while photographing grass land birds. C&C Welcomed as always.

an incredible shot with an awesome perch. The fill flash on the bird looks good to me, however I find it too much for the perch. I think -1 1/3 or -1 2/3 would have given the image an overall more natural and smoother look

I like the singing pose, angle, details and BG. I agree regarding the flash setting with Jan and would give it more room, especially on the left side.

Hey Mike, This is quite loverly. Love the setting and the singing pose. Agree about less flash and just a bit more room on the left.

It doesn't look overflashed to me. I like the perch, pose, BG, light, detail, colors and comp although a bit more room to the left would indeed improve this one. Congratulations.

It seems over-flashed to me. A little less flash would help make it appear more 3-dimensional.

Comp works, super pose, and you have exposed the colours very well. The perch looks fine to me too. Great BG.

Loved the perch. Goes with the name of the bird, doesn't it? I think it might have been better even without the flash. If you have one, I for one would definitely like to see that.

    Excellent singing pose and details.

Love it all except the fact that the tail is not visible 100%. The yellows seem to be oversat.

This image was created close to my home, in the city of Burlington, Ontario. Which is just west of Toronto, Ont. Canada. I do have more room to crop and the lighting was a bit tough. I used me 40D for a bit more reach, but wish I had brought the 1D MarkIII as the metering to me is better.

Thanks for the comments, always appreicated.
    Mike
