Your image oozes appeal David. I love the low angle, crashing wave and the determined look on the eagle's face.

Great job in timing to get the bird inside totally in front of the surf. Great detail in the browns again and good whites.
Love the wing position, you must have been really close at 200 some mm!

Cowabunga!:D Love the dorsal view, Nicely exposed. The assertiveness in his eyes make this one awesome!

Great shot David! I love the dorsal view, exposure control, the expression, and the comp including the breaking wave framing the bird perfectly! Well done.

    Cheers!

I can just imagine standing so close to one of these guys while they fly by. The surf bg works well imo.

must have been spine-chilling as Stephen said. I need to get to Alaska one day - have always wanted to.
pin sharp and very interesting to get it against a breaker, a top and rare shot for me.

I've never seen an image of ths species with a wave behind, very special. I would only wish we could see it bigger. Congratulations.

Excellent exposure and sharpness. The placement of the eagle in the wave is perfect. Like it a lot!

He seems to be misplaced against the surf, and not soaring against a mountain, but it works for me. Lovely detail, sharp, and well exposed.

An unusual but interesting BG for this oft-photographed species. Timing for this one couldn't have been much better.
