    I took this macro shot and added some painted strokes and smudged the image to look like it had been painted.

    Denise, another excellent composition. It sure does look like painting. Great colors and I love the way you smudged the black lines.

    Indranil, Thankyou - I wanted it to have a less than perfect look so I added the smudges, glad you liked it.

    This is AWESOME Denise. Really top stuff. I have no idea HOW you add brushtrokes etc to a photo afterwards. Would you be kind to explain in a few quick steps for a newbie like me? I'd really appreciate that. Thank you.

    It makes me shiver, it's THAT GOOD! :)

    Akos, It's very easy you just select a brush from your brush set-I chose a very soft brush and added the color by selecting the color picker, then I smudged it in using the smudge tool * you can lower the opacity of the color selected if needed.

    Akos, I do everything on a layer-it gives you more flexibility

    like it Denise.....amay be a bit "dull", but my tired eyes may be the reason.
    Smudging is a real ps art.....I have seem the work of some real masters

    Dave, Not at all-I appreciate your view-really!! I consider you one of the finest photographers on this site and if you have something to say-I want to hear it:):D

    Excellent composition, image and capture Lady Denise...I like the soft pastel colors...the feel is over the top...well done...:cool:

    I tried doing an O'keefe type painting but couldn't get it right...Denise you got it right!...congrats...a wall hanger
