    CanonEOS40D, Manual exposure, 180mm macro lens, ISO400, f/32, 0.5s. Used flashlight to light up the yellow part of the flower, a black background with window light from the left side.

    Hi Nick

    I like the lighting idea !!! Normally we see the other end Neat !!!

    Might tone down the light just a bit some of the upper tips are on the edge and best to have a softer look. Also a little over sharpened? Have to keep this set up in mind and try one Really like it !!!

    I like the capture, would like to see it even tighter in frame, agree on the over sharpening...looking forward to your next one...:cool:

    Hi Nick, I'm thinking you might crop this even closer, reducing the amount of black for a really in your face look.
