As Alfred said in an earlier post...anemonefish (often called clownfish) in anemones are magnets for U/W photographers...there is an incredible number of species of anemones and a couple dozen anemonefish species. Although many species have preferred commensal hosts, they seem to occur in endless variations of host and hosted.
These are Clark's Anemonefish...I don't know the species of anemone, but I think they complement the fish nicely.
Canon Rebel XT in Ikelite housing, DS125 and DS50 strobes on E-TTL, Canon 60mm EF-S macro, ISO 100, 1/200s, f/18
Comments and critiques are greatly appreciated! Thanks for looking!
Nice capture Bruce indeed. Where were you for this one?
I like the framing and the overall color structure of this scene.
If you ever come down under, let me know and I can put you on track for some great stuff!!! If you do come through Sydney, I may even dust off some gear and try to find you the Pygmy. :)
Hi Akos, Thank-you for your comments and for your kind offer. I may just take you up on that! This one was shot at a reef called Dunai Baru near the Wakatobi resort in south Sulawesi province in Indonesia.
Excellent composition and the anemone sure does complement the fish !! Powerful strobe to cover at f 18 .. and even lighting, strobes were well positioned !!! Big Congrats !!!
