    Lovely light, pose, and eye contact. I don't like the OOF wing, as it is a distraction. I might also give it a litle more room on the bottom. Overall, this is a fine image.

    pin sharp in difficult conditions Stu - I agree would have been better if the wing was folded or outstretched but sharp as this gives the idea of movement with the perch contradicting that. but still the colours and exposure are sweet and I think it's a good image (I don't even have a swallow yet).

    Though I would have loved to be able to see the dorsal surface of the near wing, I realy do like this one. I like the perch. Did you erect it? The HA is good and the breast streaking is way cool.

    I am not so keen on the wing either Stu, sorry mate. I love the sharp head and breast feathers. Awesome BG and lighting IS A OK! :)

    Also not too keen on the OOF near wing, I find it a bit distracting.
    Super detail and colour on the birds body and face though.
    Agree on the BG is awesome.
