    Default RT Hummingbird

Needing a break from winter bird images, north and south, here's one from late September. Canon 500mm f4 and 1.4xII on tripod, fill flash- 2, EC -1/3, F8 and ISO 400. The background is oof evergreens- nothing removed. Late day sun was still a bit harsh.

Nice BKGR and flower. Wish for a bit more light on the face and the wings either more blurred or less blurred (if that makes sense). I have always enjoyed your images and your on-line personality so it is good to see you here and hope to meet you somewhere down the road.

I like the flower, BG and details. There is some noise visible around the edges, which appears more prominent since the rest of the BG has NR applied.

Beautiful bg, and nice flower. Great pose and head position, and good composition. The bird looks somewhat washed out, as if you may have applied a bit too much S/H to lessen the shadows.

Very nicely done, just a bit more light in the face.
