    Hi Alfred, here is the rufous hummer unedited. I used photoshop elements to process it to save it for the web.
    Looking at it again I probably cropped too much before. I look forward to your suggestions.

    Hi Ray

    This would be a little too much for a crop !!! Some images if they are razor sharp can stand up to a large crop for posting purposes but couldn't do much more .. printing would not be an option.

    For hummers you might try a smaller lens with good minimum close focusing and might end up with the bird larger in frame !!!! Looking forward the next one !!!

    btw I know the D200 does not perform as well as the D300 but still would much rather have noise than a soft image. At 600 plus the camera crop factor you are shooting at 900mm with 1/90 sec !!! Not easy !!! DBS ... just made that one up ... doomed before starting :)
