Attempted to photograph the hand off from adult Black Skimmer to the chick but was simply too close. So, concentrated on the chick and its rather large catch....which it downed in an instant. Photographed just before sunset. C & C always welcomed and appreciated, Marina

Spectacular. Two and 1/2 sharp eyes! And the little beach plant adds to the image. I believe that the relatively huge fish may be a baby Southern Whiting. Does anyone know for sure? Froggie?
Is the bird a Least Tern?
Where was the image created?

This is an awesome image Marina. I love the light, the compositional balance as Artie did touch on that too and the almost impossible to swallow fish. This little fellow has guts! :D
Thanks for sharing.
