Mountain Foxes are a sub-species of the Red Fox, only lighter. This female was skittish but somehow tolerant if you didn't make sudden movements. On very cold days, shadows in the snow could go from light to midnight blue.

what a lovely comp and pose Fabs - love the detail and colour. to me it looks like she's leaning slightly to the left so I would be tempted to rotate slightly CW. :)
that shadow colour sure is fascinating!

Light and colors look perfect. I like the balance between the tail and the shadow.

This is a striking-yet-serene photograph of a beautiful lady.

Fantastic the way you found her on the border of bright and softer light.

To me, she looks as if she's pausing after having completed a task, and surveying the landscape as she ponders her next move.

    What a wonderful 'day-in-the-life' portrait!

    Well said Bill!

The shadow on one side and the tail on the other and the fox create an impression of three axis x-y-z. It gives a feeling of depth. In this case a lower angle would not have been better as it would have blurred the background more.

The beautiful colors of the snow perfectly set up your subject. Love her gaze and relaxed appearance. Just beautiful, Fabs.

I like the play of light on the BG - blue in shade and white in sun. Fox is well position in the image and in a soft light. You corrected the fox's colors just right.

Excellent detail on the little lady Fabs, and those colours pop so well from the winter BG. Im going with Morkel with regards that she seems to be leaning very slightly to the left. Still, an outstanding image, and congrats. I like this lots.

Beautifully captured as always Fabs! She is gorgeous and the light, exposure and comp are perfect. The shades of snow from sunlit to shadow are bang on as well. Stunning!

    Cheers!

FAB-ulous work Fabs, as always. If I may comment on the diagonal shadow on the right, I do find that a little dominant. But I do love the shadow of the lady and the placement of her in the frame. Congrats on a wonderful image and thanks for sharing. :)
