    Default Theme:Benson/Mute Swan

    This is an image of a mute swan that has wrapped it's neck around to preen. In the original you can see the one eye reflected in the water. I thought it was an interesting view. I have also been playing around with the eye and decided to hand paint this one in. I know it isn't as large brushed as the rest, but felt if I was painting the picture I would paint the eye semi-clear.

    What an exquisite job you did, the subject is perfect and the texture and light really make it like a painting.

    awesome young lady....the brush strokes are so well rendered, colors well balanced and
    the orange bill color repeated just enough for excellent balance

    Thanks Dave, I really had to re-work this 8 times -setting the brushes and working the lighting and colors. Your kind words mean alot-thankyou.

    Cheryl, Thankyou so much for your kind words. I am really glad I'm not in the contest,the competition this week is amazing!!! Everybody is really stepping up to the plate!!! I have to say though this theme is alot of fun and I learned alot already!! I do wish Dave Mills was here to enjoy it!!!
