I took this the other night, I had my macro lens on to photograph some flowers and in he came.

    This is a marco lens
    1/250 @ f9
    100 mm ISO 400

I took out the light from the BG and tried to move into a better position, there was no room on the top , So here it is.

Thank you all for your kind comments and ideas to better this image.

Pose, details and BG look good. The bird looks a bit bright on my monitor, did you use flash? I would try to tone down the highlights and maybe lighten the BG using curves and/or S/H.

    Axel and Manos,

Thank you for looking in and commenting, It was truely a quick snap of the camera.

Axel, I do not believe my flash was on , it was still bright day time, I just happen to catch him with my hedge in the bg, better than my clothesline. LOL..

    Thank you again, Alma

Nice re-post, I like the diagonal position of the wings,

I'm really curious about the equipment here. Can you please provide details on the
    camera, lens etc.

    Thanks, Ilija

Dear Ilija, Thank you for your kindness, Your right it is better reworked..

I use only Canon equipment. I have several Canon cameras and
several lens. I did start out 30 years ago on a Minolta, which I also still have..

This was my Canon EOS 40D, I am using a Canon Macro Lens EF 100 mm , which I usally use for flowers and close up stills.

    Thank you for asking..
