I like the takeoff pose and angle and would add canvas at the bottom. I would also try to lighten the shadow on the far wing.

Nice image, love the water spraying off the feet. Cropping is a very subject process. IMO, it needs more on the top for sure and some on the left and a tad less on the right. Nice picture, great day in the life moment. Most of this is about feel anyway.
