    Default Singing Tower - IR

Amazing Place in Lake Wales, Florida. Lots of birds on the grounds too.

Michael, Very dramatic and has a 3D look to it!! I like the IR -some of the whites in the very center look a bit bright. Really nice image.

Unbelievable sense of scale in this image, Michael! I love how the tall tree on the right contrasts with the smaller trees on the left and then the tower gives it all balance. Beautiful IR work as always. That ink black water is too cool!

Oh My !! What more can I say, you are certainly the IR champ. The conversion is spectacular. Was this done through silver effects?

Dave, this is real IR (converted 20d)

I did run it through silver effects to bring out the details.

Thanks Michael, I knew that it was a true IR shot as I have followed your previous IR postings which are truly impressive. I just wasn't sure if you had used silver effects after the conversion a to bring out that knockout B&W. I need to get that software.:) I have a 20D that was convertedto the standard IR which allows the blue sky, but am beginning to think I should have gone to the strictly BW rout. The contrast and blacks seem to be so much stronger that way.

I got the deep IR conversion. I find it the best and it reminds me of the old traditional IR film look.

    Michael,
This is impressive work. What is there in the centre. Looks like a castle from the story books.

    Cheers,

It is a carillon bell tower. One of the tallest here in Florida. A Historic Landmark.

Very dramatic. Very moody. Excellent, Michael.
