    Default Theme: Monet, Fog

I always think of color when I think of Monet but I think his series of paintings in the fog are interesting so I thought
I'd try one. (Not very flashy that's for sure!) I tried so many filters I lost track but think it was a combination of
Simplify and several artistic and texture filters.

    Comments and suggestions appreciated.:)

Cheryl, I think the fog and color tones are very, very nicely done. There is a real feeling of serenity to this. I haven't seen any Fog images by Monet-but I do like the overall look to this! Great job.

really like the idea here Cheryl.....it has the aged color look as well.

Madame judge, I took liberty to play a bit....what I do on hot weekends.
Did several things, added minor surface cracks, 3% mono noise and a multiply blend
layer of silver gelatin at 45% to age it even more, thanks for allowing it so graciously!!

Excellent re-post!! I really like the effect. Can you create an action from those steps or do they have to be completely custom?

Thank you Denise....I guess it "could" be written to an action if one has the filters needed, but I
usually play by what I perceive, then try to create it.....often without success.

the "add noise"/uniform/mono is under the noise filter in PS

Dave, you are a wizard!! I've got PS Elements 7 and now Topaz Clean and Simplify (which are taking a little getting used to!) so I'm not sure I've got some of what you used - I know I've got add noise but not sure about
the rest. I really like what you did though:)

Denise, fog is probably not the right description - Monet did a series of Rouen Cathedral and also haystacks in all
different kinds of light and some of those look like fog or mist - that was my idea anyway;)

Cheryl, this is an excellent one. Monet did few in fog... the parliament building. He also did a series four paintings for Villa of Montgeron in which he used turkey and was his only series of living animal/bird painting! You got both in one. Dave's repost is also very good.

Cheryl, I like the adjustments that Dave has made. Often it is just knowing the right filter. His repost seems to give it a lot more"presence". Not familiar with his fog images. Will have to check it out sometime.
