    Default High Key Swallow-tailed Kite

    from this afternoon after a storm. light was filtered/overcast. not sure about the processing. multiplied the hot spots, but the area on the neck is gone. no info at all.

    D300, 300mm, f/6.3, 1/400s, ISO 640, flash fill w/ BB at 0EV.

    Hola Hijo, you heavily overexposed the bird, even the blacks are light.
    I used Shadow/Highlight to get density to the file and filled the burnt part of the face with the clone stamp at 50%
    Finished with color balance adding some cyan and sharpening of the face.

    Tough bird to expose :) Amazing at zero comp Wouldn't think it would get blown with that !!!

    Excellent re post Fabs Big difference and looking good !!!

    .... just noticed it was the fill flash at zero The comp was probably 1 2/3 over ?

    thanks mom. there's good info everywhere except that neck part. i think the processing i did was amateuristic!! i was trying to do it all in Ps. may have another go at it with in CNX. btw, this is full frame.

    hey al, the topaz denoise 3 is really nice!!!
