    Default ready to stretch little ringed plover

    took this shot yesterday,on gravel side of river,the bird was just about to stretch,and I got all the shots of it ,right to the full extension of its leg.The weather was a bit overcast.cannon 40d,400mm prime lens.low tripod,1/1000sec,f6.3,iso800.thanks,all comments wellcome good or bad.

    Not bad for ISO 800, although you could run extra noise reduction in the BG.
    Very nice and sharp, the OOF rock in the foreground really takes away from the pretty habitat.
    Keep them coming.

    I like the walking pose, eye contact and soft light. I would selectively sharpen the head more and agree that the big rock in the foreground is a bit distracting. Maybe you could crop a bit off the bottom to lessen the impact.
