    Very interesting image, I like the feather detail and light bird on dark BG contrast.
    The light patches in the BG I think should be removed if possible.

    Can you tell us more about the techs please. What camera, flash?? macro lens 100mm!?
    Very unusual...

    This is a very interesting image. I would suggest adding a bit of cavas above and to the right the bird.
    The bird should be placed off centre to improve the comp.
    I would also look at reducing the intensity of the highlights in the BG.

    I also like the light bird on dark BG, although you might soften or eliminate the whitish areas in the BG. Agree that adding some canvas to the top would help, also move the bird off center. Bird is very sharp considering the 1/250 SS. Thanks for the post, Alma.

    I agree on moving the bird off-centre and toning down bright spots. Love the sense of frantic movement communicated here. I think one more round of NR on the BG will make it stand out a bit more.
