STK with Iguana hatchlling
Difficult bird for photographing About perfect light and direction is needed for a decent image. Posting this one for showing the iguana's tail sections with its bands. Got others with better underwing detail. The light was generally harsh when the bird returned with food for the baby ... or dark with clouds !!!

Love the texture in the whites, What did the hist - look like, how far to the right were you? Anytime you catch this king of action in flight it is amazing, wonderful picture. Look at how beautiful he looks in flight with wings and tail feathers spread out - well done.

This is a special circumstance and the histogram has to be on the right an slightly over. In camera I had some blinkies but its about the only way to expose for the blacks. The hot area can be dealt with in PS by selecting by color and multiplying !! We tried just about everything and Fabs started doing it this way .. works !!! A normal histogram will not do it !!!

Can you tell us bit more detail about the PP of the whites. What do you mean by multiplying?

Very difficult to get proper exposure, but you nailed it Alfred. It has been amazing to see how effortlessly they fly while eating.

Hi Al! Nice bird to photograph. I remember seeing these in Costa Rica...a spectacular sight. You handled the the harsh light very well I must say. Why did you use ISO1000 for this? You were shooting at 1/3200...so I would say you could have done with a slightly lower ISO to keep your noise level a bit lower.
