    A common species around here - usually in open areas - this one was in an alder patch.

    D300, Nikon 300 F/4 AF-S + 1.4TC (my latest piece of gear - love it!), car window. Auto-ISO at 800. 1/400, f5.6. Pattern metering. No flash.

    I like the angle, eye contact and BG. The bird looks soft on my monitor and I would run NR on the BG. Is this a heavy crop?

    I like the basic image design. And it looks a bit too contrasty for my taste.

    Nice soft light. I love the spider web. I agree with Artie, and Axel. Also I wish the little cones in the URC were not cut off.
