I like the light, details, singing pose and unusual perch. Could you post the complete techs?

Perfect light, singing pose, BG, and exposure. Sharp too. If I was really picky, I would like to see a little less clutter in the upper right corner, though it does help frame the bird.

    Well done!

Beautiful early spring photo with the mint green new leaves of that time of year.
Just for curiosity sake ,how long did it take you to get it on this great perch ?
I seem to like the green frame on the right supporting its back, but can not completely explain why.

Matt: Yours is an absolutely superb image -- one of the best I've ever seen. Technical details are flawless. The composition also ... the way the bird's posture is complemented by the perch. It puts the bird in its habitat and in the season. Spring, new growth, flowering tree, territorial singing. It all works. Wonderful. Thanks for posting.
