Like the thorny perch. I would place the bird further to the right in the frame if possible, and I might remove some of the OOF branches in the BG.

What a beautiful bird, wow. I would remove OOF branches on LHS and work the eye (e.g., lighten & sharpen etc) - maybe take a bit off the bottom too.

these are beautiful birds and you have captured him nicely on the thorn branches. this one has quite a different hue of cyan than the ones I'm used to down here but it doesn't seem to be your image. vivid colours!
