    A cute, colorful little shrike. SH with a nice EXP and good detail in the blacks. The branch that shoots out past the main perch was bad luck as it introduces many distrating elements.

    Nice shot, colorful bird, the light reflection on the head could be a distraction was the light from the side? Always try and get your shadow pointed at the subject. Maybe a tad soft too, general rule is the shutter should be 1/focal length=1/500 (not 1/250). Increasing ISO and/or opening up aperture would have helped. Beautiful bird, it must have been a joy seeing him/her in the viewfinder.

    A nice shot there does appear to be a Halo around the birds head though.

    Agree with Artie's comments. I think fill flash would have helped here. I would add a bit of canvas to the left.
