Taken yesterday on an overcast morning. I liked the pose and the "ghostly" shadow of the wingspread in the water. Cropped and sharpened. Is it cropped OK, or should I eliminate the strip of mud at the top, etc.?

    Hi Wendell

I like the pose with its stretched wings, flowing head feathers and all sharp

Would eliminate the strip at the top I think the light is coming from the back .. would have looked special with frontal lighting !!!!

btw check it in PS and the whites are close to pegged on its back and head .... Lightening the front will strengthen the image Can just lighten then deal with the almost blown whites or mask the area before
lightening .... or have the light at your back :)

    Hi Wendell,
I like the capture, I like the spread wing position...agree with Mr. Forns on the lighting and the hot whites...would have liked to have seen a lower capture angle if possible...keep them coming...

Hi Wendell - agree with Gus and AL - would add that personally I always try to get as much right in camera as possible - especially the exposure. Also need to keep a eye on the reflections the dark reflections on the LHS are a little distracting as they form a line of contrast that attracts the viewers eye.
    Do like the winspread.
    Looking forward to more :)
