hi paolo, nice bird! there seemed to be a slight color cast. easily fixed by setting the black and white points. the two darker areas in the bg were distracting also. a crop off the right and bottom i think strengthened the composition. i ran some noise reduction on the background.

the only thing that i think could be better is if the bird's head was angled slightly towards you. your exposure looks great and there is a lot of detail. hope you dont mind my repost. i was using CNX2 so it was saved to a very small file size. sorry about that.

    Hi Paolo,
I like the capture...The Doctor's adjustments puts this one over the top...for the next one, wait until the bird turns his head toward you...the head angle and eye contact are a little off also the eye needed more sharpening...looking forward to your next one...

    Excellent re post Harold !!!

I think you can tighten the image a little more, all these crop options are basically taste. Also lighten the image, appeared to be underexposes a bit .. I'm sure guarding against whites, did a slight curve, selected the lighter whites and multiplied and finally cleaned up the bill some.

Fine looking and a good looking bird Just a couple of tweaks !!

Als repost looks a lot better to my eyes - did look a little under to me.
Looks like the HAP have you in their sights - there is a excellent tutorial in the educational resources forum on HA'S and exposure.

Only other thing I see is the lack of colour in the eye - image looks nearly black and white except for the blue water.
    Looking forward to seeing more.
