Probably one of my favourite images from my trip to Ireland last week.

When the clouds came around the end of the day in I decided to go a bit further regarding the use of fill-flash. I put on my better beamer to get a spotlight effect on this scene and used a slow shutterspeed to add some dynamics to the shot. Quite different from my previous post but personally I like this much better. Curious what you think...

    I love the mood Jasper.

This is very creative and the use of composition (with the bird in flight in the sky) and fill flash are very well done. This is a masterpiece! Congratulations!

This is very cool, I like the dramatic look and the bird at the top. I might remove the bill without bird in the lower left and don't even mind that the wings look clipped.

P.S.: Jasper, I copied this thread to the 'out of the box' forum. I think it fits nicely in both categories.

I like very much, Jasper, especially the bird up in the sky echoing the subject, well done, very creative.

I love it wishing only for the same thing that you likely wished for.... The flash and the bird above are wicked.

You know I love this one! I even want to go a bit further and say that I think some of the shots you showed are some of your best (and that is saying a lot). The flash is crazy as are the motionblurred wings and the one on top is amazing! Love the fact that the rest of the colony is underexposed! So well done my friend!

Jasper I think that it is simply.... outstanding! Love the creative side of this excelent image and the dramatic mood of the scene. The dark silouette in the background is just a fantastic detail and the face of the main subject is priceless. A very good example of good job by a very talented photographer.
