Outstanding image. The eye is sharp and the pose looks like a hang glider!

Gary this is a fantastic moment you've captured.
dont know bout the light condition.

1/1000 is a gr8 speed to capture action in superb way and seems here its bit slow but that made wings in good shape with motion effect to me.

some sort of curve and some sharpness can add few more Plus to the image i feel.

You really captured the decisive moment here. Wing position is spectacular. I'd do a noise reduction on the wings.

It does look a touch dark to me, but great pose and sharp head where it needs to be. It kind of reminds me of a lampshade. :D

    Congrats Gary. :)

stunning pose and exposure here! pity you couldn't get it from a slightly higher angle, but a great shot...

Well captured - love the pose and the head popping out in between the wings. I feel the image is a tad dark - levels can sort that out nicely - boosting the mid tones and bringing the white point in a bit.

I agree with the above said things. Very cool position, nice crop and a little dark. Congrats.

Great pose and nice crop! I'd make the bird a bit brighter and perhaps boost saturation a little Gary.
