This was taken in the Pilanesberg Nature Reserve at the end of last year. The BG is as shot, and is OOF grass. This angle has captured his colours perfectly.

Lovely soft light, BG, and look back pose. I would crop a bit from the left, and maybe give it a little more space at the top.

    Well done!

Very good job in showing the colors. BG is a great backdrop for the subject. I am fine with the cop as presented.

I like the position; showing the color while having eye contact by the head turn. Nice BG and exposure and a beautiful bird.

Love the pose angle so we see all those lovely colours, nice head turn and good oof bg, wish it were mine :)

If I was being really piccy, I would have just liked the tail feathers tips to also be in focus.

I like the soft light, details, angle and BG. If it were mine, I would give it more room at the top and a bit less on the left side.

Beautifully done, Stuart. The colours and feather textures are lovely and your DOF has covered the subject well while rendering that superb BG

Fabulous lighting Stuart! I like the pose and eye contact, a slightly more turned body would have given you the sharpness throughout. But with that gorgeous BG I don't fuss too much mate. Well done!

Quite stunning. Love the perfect EXP, the view of the back, the look-ak HA, the SH, and the BKGR. And the fluffed breast featehrs put it over the top for me.
