    Default Some more macro-caterpillar

I'm getting to like macro very much now! I don't have the equipment like a macrolens but with mine 75-300 and raynox dcr 250 it's okay! Curious what you guy's think about. C en C welcome!

Way cool I love it !!!

Looks like a train coming out of the fog !! Would consider cropping form the bottom ... would clean some (in focus) clutter and stem would be coming out away from corner. Prefer not to have things coming out of the corner itself.

PS wise could brighten the image just a bit but do keep the present mood !! Big Congrats !!!

I like the composition but would take some off the bottom as Alfred has suggested. The colors and details look good.

Nice colors and a very interesting creature!

To deal with the complex visual environment mentioned by Al and Denise, you may want to try a pano crop, at the level where the two blades intersect just in front of the caterpillar's head.

Pano crop sounds like a good choice here to handle the chaos on the lower part of the image. I love the depth of field and agree it could use a curves adjustment.

    Looking forward to more!

Not much more to say. I agree with what was said above about the busy bottom of the image. Otherwise, I think it looks great.

I really like the effect of this picture. I would have probably cloned out the brown stem on the bottom right.

Thijs, most of the stuff has all been said but I'd like to add that it might have been an even more dramatic composition if you had moved another step to the left and had the bug coming just shy of "head on."
