Nice portrait. I do like it as it has a nice character about it and there is great feather detail. Is this a wild bird? It would be tough to get everything into focus this close, so for that reason for me personally an image with the head almost parallel to the sensor plane and all in focus would work better. Others may think differently. Did you do any post processing other than basic levels, curves and saturation boost?
Asad...welcome. If you were on a tripod, you could have gone with a smaller aperture to get the beak sharp. If not, then you could have increased the ISO to get a smaller aperture with the sampe shutter speed. You did wonderfully well in the high contrast situation.
Was this captive or wild bird? Which species? Looks like a white-bellied sea (or fishing) eagle.
I like the portrait of this white-bellied sea eagle (captive?). More deep of field would be great but the most I like in the image is the fantastic eye. I see some kind of softness or bluring in the lower right and left corners.
Keep them coming and wellcome on board :-)
Welcome to BPN! I like the angle, sharp eye and BG. I agree that it would have been even stronger with the beak in focus, too. I would give it a bit more room top and right. Is this a wild bird? Keep them coming!
Asad, Nothing unfortunate about making a nice image of a captive raptor. All good suggestions above.
