    Hi Guys,

    Here's one from last spring.This was taken at a beautiful site where around 120 of these Herons nest and it's the largest colony in Holland.

    I really like the texture of the wheat or whatever that is in the bottom half of the frame.

    I like the image as is, but still find myself straining to really see the bird. Maybe the head angle is causing that?

    Agree, those grasses are beautiful. Need a bit more of the bird's eye to satisfy my eye.

    Great pose but the grass (?) in the BG puts it over the top. I also wish for more eye contact.
