Cool.......my first thought was Louisville Cardinals but then I doubt they'd have their own plane.....even if Rick Pitino is the basketball coach!!!

Very neat Al. They say that these paint jobs cost tens of thousands of dollars.

Well Mr. Forns...shame on you Sir...the head angle is way off, no eye contact and the bird is flying away from you, also would recommend on adding more canvas on top to give your subject more room to fly into...I do like the flight banking turn...:D:p;)....I love it...a fine looking bird indeed...

    Al

If he was past you couldn't you have moved a little to your right......? Maybe a little fill light also to open up the underside from the shadows.

Hi Bill ... actually I did try the fill flash technique for the under wing shadows but the flashed bounced of a Stealth Bomber :( those are hard to see  ... as far as moving to the right I was having a little knee problems and didn't try :D:):)

    Neat shot.

I agree with the stealth image. I had a chance to see the B1 at the EAA show a few years ago and tried to get some images. Black blobs!!!  :( All the other planes came out real nice!

Big birds are interesting flight objects.

Another No No, thought rarer today, is to shoot prop planes at 1/2500 sec. Stops the props ... planes fall! :o

Good point Mark !!!! We have an air show late in the year and planing on going !!!

btw at that air show I met Greg Boyington and the Japanese pilot that shot him down ... the had tables set up across each other and we shouting obscenities ... just an act they were good friends.
