    These Eagles have just finished their parental duties and have brought their young out. This is the right time to make close ups as their are bold and allow you closer than other times. Made use of such an opportunity and made this image.

    Canon 40D + 500mm + 1.4TC

    Spec: 1/800, F 7.1, -1/3, ISO 400.

    Great light, angle, details and BG. I might remove the bright spot on the beak. Were you in a blind to photograph them?

    Thanks Axel , regarding the white spot..I tried removing that, when I compared the images the beak looked dull, this added more shine as the texture of the beak really is. I approached them with my SUV got down hiding behinding the SUV and made this.

    Kiran...lovely shot. I liked the feather details a lot. Head turn is perfect. Your raptor images are superb. I follow them on indianaturewatch too.

    I find something strange about the BG above the head. 'plumes of smoke' kind-of effect.

    Kiran, this is a stunning image with lots of details and beautiful matching bg colors. I might consider taking a little off the top of the frame for composition purposes.

    Superb job with this smazing portrait. I cannot image to myself doing this kind of portrait of a raptor in Spain because they are really shy all the season. I absolutelly love the pose of the bird and the stare looking interested in something outside the frame. Very nice BG and great matching colors in the bG and subject.

    Kiran;

    Lovely shot. I agree with David about a crop from the top, perhaps 1/3 of the open space could be removed.
    Nice exposure,sharpness, BG.

    Thank you Dear people for all your encouragement and suggestion, I am really learing a lot.

    Thanks Mital bhai, all the encouragement gives me a great boost to push myself harder.

    Only cropping the top gave it a box frame so cropped out the sides too a bit. Also as Axel suggested I took off the shine on the beak.

    what do you feel?

    Regards,

    Kiran

    Pin sharp detail, and what a pose. Good light, with complimentary colours in the BG. Your repost works well Kiran.

    I prefer with the beak shine. A well-composed portrait with nice earthy colors.
