    A breeding Summer visitor to our shores.

    Their nest are barrows in the ground or sides of hill, this fella should be leaving in a few days time.

    Good-looking specimen, I like the eye contact and details, a very low angle might have made it even stronger.

    Mervin:

    I agree with Axel about the angle if possible to do so. That would have thrown the BG even further out of focus. I like the complimentary colors of the grass and the birds breast.

    I am undecided about the flash catchlight, since there is a natural catchlight above. Might try it without and see what you think.

    Agree with above posters. I would also carefully eliminate the strand of grass that crosses the bird's wing and chest. There is a yellowish colour cast that could easily be fixed.
