This is a small cosmetic point but I had trouble producing a decent looking avatar that fell within the very strict size limits imposed by the site. Others seem to have large, clear avatars and mine is horrible. Can anyone advise how to produce a good looking avatar that is < 19k in size.
John, I had the same problem originally... I made the mistake of using 'Save As' instead of 'Save for Web' in Photoshop... When I used 'Save for Web' I was able to get it to fall under the 19.5 KB limit and still not be horrible (my avatar is my mug so it's never going to look great haha)
