Hi Adam, definitely the other one, which, btw, may have been even stronger with a less centered subject.
i think your wide angle project is refreshing and inspiring and have enjoyed them all :)

The water in this one is not as attractive in this one and the bird is less sharp.

Can't wait to see what you;ll come up next ;)

This one is good, too, but I liked the other one better and I didn't mind that it was centered. For me the previous one had a stronger impact because of the 'in-the-face' composition.

I prefer the other one, but this one is pretty amazing also. I'm curious as to how you were able to get so close to the bird and how you shot from such a low angle. Did you place your camera on a monopod and extend that out toward the bird? Amazing images and a very innovative and unique approach.

I love this composition but I feel that the conditions and exposure let you down here, making you lose details and the sky not being vivid enough to make the bird pop. Great concept though! Keep them coming...

Another vote for the other one.
Had a much more interesting/dramatic/attractive foreground,
bird seemed more prominent, and the splash of water was a nice touch.
Also liked the white surf? in the background of the other one.

    Please keep them coming!

+1 for the other one, and for the same reasons as Axel.

guess what Adams....the other one for me too.
This one IMO would be more dynamic cropped closer and featuring the fish more.
It is barely noticeable as is.
Have really enjoyed your WA images....very unique

This is another great shot but do prefer the other one.
I think this would have been stronger with the bird a bit more to the right in the frame.

Cool concept and I like these kind of photographs...however, it would have been much stronger if you could have gotten lower, with your lens pointing more towards the sky. That would make the bird much larger and there would have been less merging with the horizon. I agree with the compositional suggestions made above.

what a fantastic shot this is . like the idea of using wide angle. i agree on the point jasper as written above to use a bit more lower angle to make the bird more wider and give it giant look.

but this works for me as well.

Thank you all for the comments,
Fabs: I have a few more pictures from the same day that I have not processed yet, I am back home in Brasil now and I hope I can share some images of Brasilian birds with you in the next few months.
Ed: The tide was going out and some small fish got traped in a small pond, i just kneed in the water holding the camera with one hand and my arms streched out as far as i could.
Jasper and Mital: I coud not get any lower, the bottom of the camera was about 1'' above the water.

So there was still another 1" ;-)

I guess if you could have gotten just a tad closer to the bird you would have gotten a better seperation with the horizon.
