Little Rann of Kutch - For Tourist it is a Wild *** Sanctuary but for true birder it is heaven of raptors because of its wide spreaded open land salty soil.

After month of birding at neaest bird sanctuary i have visited this place first time and on the very first day of new year this is the first raptor i've got to work on .
Wish i had become bpn member before taking this snap and i could have so much of photographic and angle and camera knowledge.

but to me this is still not bad frame.
enjoying everytime wherever i post i get so many suggestions for this interesting pose given by the eagle.

Note : I've kept that green vegetation visible on right mid level on land because that's what also rare for the land to see and gives habitat information as well. Also tried moving bird to more left but it was than loosing the weightage so kept on bit near to center.

Feel free to critique and post suggestions for improvements.
will be glad to take every point

Mital, I love the pose, the catch light, the EXP and the clean two-toned background. The hint of green adds a lot to the image. Not crazy about the perch and will take some off the left to get him more off centered. If you like ratios, cropping also of the sky would keep that in check.
I'm enjoying your work very much, thanks for showing us your part of the world.

Would a vertical work better ,therefore eliminating distracting(to me) isolated green tree.
Nice detail and good soft light even at 84 AM

Mital...very nice image. I'd love to go to Kutch some day. I like inclusion of the empty space. also liked how u have matched the horizon with the perch.

Pose and eye contact look great, I might crop it tighter, maybe a bit below the horizon and the bird at the left side of the frame.

I prefer the portrait comp and may even have taken a tad more off to get closer to a 2/3 proportion.
    Super feather detail captured.
I find the perch interesting but not ideal. (does not look natural to me)

    dear dave.
these perches are very natural for them at the place in a fact these stones are to be meant for them.
have seen so many raptors perches on it in morning and evening.

Stunning light Mital, and love the pose. This is sharp, with good feather detail and colours. Comp wise, I would go with your first repost ( where you have taken off the bottom, but I would also take a bit off the top too.)

I love this image with your first crop change. I also like it in the portrait but do prefer the landscape presentation. P.S. I will be in India later this year:)
