I pulled out a tulip macro from this spring to get into the mindset of doing abstracts again.

    Canon 40D, EF 100mm f/2.8 macro
    f8 @ 1/25th, ISO 400
Manual mode, pattern metering, handheld, flash
Processed in ACR & CS4; small crop, levels and blend modes, rotated canvas

With abstracts like this , I may just lay my camera at your feet right now and not wait until July 4th. ;)

Ed, If you do, I'll have to lay my new 400mm at YOUR feet - those Puffin and Razorbill photos from your vacation are stunning!

Now pick up your camera and go make some abstracts!!!

Dave, thanks so much. I had to change the composition and rotation about 20 times to find one that worked so I'm glad to hear you think I got it right!

My favorite so far from all the latest posts by you, the soft colors and curves make a stunning abstract, way to go!

Hey Jules, I agree with Fabs, one of your best here. Love the soft feel and great pastels.
