This more of a behaviour image. A Pied Kingfisher's diet is obviously fish. Once digested, they regurgitate the fishes bones and scales. To be honest, I was set up for a take off shot, thus the high ISO. I had my setting on TV, ss 1/3200 to freeze the take off, with my ISO set on auto. Next moment, instead of taking off, he regurgitated his last meal.

Nice behaviour movement captured Stuart, I feel the image is slightly underexposed.

It looks quite good for such a high ISO setting. I like the captured behavior, details and BG and only wish the head were angled a little more towards you. I might give it a bit more room at the top.

    this is nice moment captured.
btw i really feel that the dark glow arround bird is a bit distracting the detail of bird and action.

yeah you could up the levels just a tad. comp is fine for me although some space up top won't hurt. great shot still sharp Stu.

I like the behavior that you captured, Stuart. Good sharpness, as you would expect with such a high shutter speed. I'm OK with the comp as presented and I agree that the image could be a little brighter.

The set up for a take off shot really helped freeze this moment tho, super clean for ISO1250.

    Nice work with the timing.
