This juvenile Peregrine Falcon spent a great deal of time trying to talk herself into flying off the ledge on a steep cliff; mom was calling her from another ledge to come eat breakfast.

That's not the best kind of fear to have if you are a bird. No wonder she has second thoughts, it looks quite steep. :) Did she finally take the plunge? Great light, details, pose and BG.
Techs are all nice. In the really minor category, I might burn in and reduce the contrast on the grey rock at the bottom of the frame. It is distinct enough to catch my eye a bit.
Killer lovely with light, BKGR, and SH. Plus, a perfect HA. Love the implications of the bird looking down. A pano crop from the bottom to just a fraction above the top of the whtie rock below the tail might work.
You must have been pretty close and I will assume that you could not possibly have gotten any lower.

good shot, well done,BG GREAT,I notice the bird as not been ringed, here in the UK,they seem to ring every bird they can, which makes the bird unnatural, any way thats another subject, not for on here.Anyway Doug great shot.thanks.
Ah! lovely capture. I think the from-above angles works very well here. It adds to the "steep drop" aspect of the BG. And the ledge lends it a 3-d feel.
