    Default The Hole II

A volcanic hole in the shoreline, called here "bufadero", and relativly usual in the Canary Islands (volcanic). I took this one a year ago (jpg format), but have postprocessed it today with Capture NX 1.3 . I used a different white balance in different zones (white point controls), but it seems it's overall a homogeneus result... What do you think?

Interesting play on the warm to cold tones. I like how you framed it. A slow shutter speed image would have been cool too.

I like this! great contrasting tones and brooding sense of anticipation here. love the water colour as well. ditto Robert a slow SS would've been quite something.

Jose, I like the comp very much. The dramatic sky helps greatly in carrying the image. For my own taste I like the detail shown in the water.

Hey Jose, I knew that I would love this the second that I saw the thumbnail and I was right. It is specatcular. Love the oval right in the center, a theme that Franz Lanting uses often. And the colors and mood are so, so soft. Agree on seeing a slower shutter speed version.

    Thanks everybody!
Yes, I also want to try a slow shutter speed. I will try in a dark sunrise (like this) using my ndx8 filter....

    Hi Jose,
Very nicely done and can't add more to the above comments. Looking forward to the slow SS one too!

Very nice and unique image, Jose. It looks attractive and scary at the same time.
