Captured this heron gathering some nesting material at City Park in Denver. Really had fun trying to capture some flight shots. There were quite a few nesting pairs. Thanks for looking.

I like the look-down, details and nesting material. There are some artifacts in the BG and I might crop a bit off right and bottom.

Thanks for the comment. I actually was going to crop this image to even it out, just spaced it out. The artifacts only show up on the jpeg, the original file looks pretty clean. Any suggestions on getting rid of that while convering it to a jpeg? Thanks again.

In this case my best guess is the compression setting. The image is only 77kB. If you save it at a higher quality setting in the 150kB range it might look better.

Good stuff above. Love the SH and the HA. And the relatively even light on the underwings.

Great head turn, and what a lovely eye. I like the exposure on the underwing, and the full wingspread. His building material a bonus.

Love that big red eye. Good wing position and underwing detail. The nesting material is a nice bonus. Agree with the crop suggestion.
