Here's another golden pond shot. The water gets its color from the fall foliage and a brilliant blue sky. I had this printed large, and in that crop, I centered the mallard in a sea of gold (this gets at what Fabs was talking about with regard to backgrounds). I thought I'd try something different for BPN.

This image is very rich in color and I and I love the gold of the water and the contrasting colors of the duck in this image. Lovely pose Doug and nice catchlight in the eye as well as sharp detail . Beautiful capture !!
