Hi Mack - Good Ha and eye contact.
I would selectively sharpen your bird a little - he looks just a tad soft to my eye's - Am i seeing a bit of a blue colour cast - have a look at the whites and see if they look a little blue - Could just be my screen.
Some of your whites are a little hot still - use the histogram and the eye dropper in P.S. and you will see they are getting up around the 245-255 mark a little hot.
Compositionally - not sure this one works for me - generally speaking you want more room in the direction the bird is looking rather than behind - of course rules are made to be broken.
I find my eye gets drawn to the OOF end of the piece of wire - away from the bird. Maybe worth a recrop.
Hi Mack,
I like the capture...I agree with Mr. Peters on the techs. and fine advise...your whites are running very close to the 255 mark...would try toning them down...looking forward to your next one...
Hi Mack, Head over to Educational Resources Forum and spend some time studying the several threads that deal with saving over-exposed whites, reds, and yellows. It's free and will help you immeasurably. This is great advise for all the folks in ETL and for most of the folks on BPN as well because a good percentage of the images posted on the site needlessly have over-exposed pixels (as this image does...)
