Jeff, nice sharp silh! And great colors. I find my eye keeps going to the bright upper left corner though. I'd try cropping that off and making it a pano.

Thats the sun, its part of the picture with the bird. Both are one subject matter depicting going home. Moreover, in this picture the bird could be flying toward/away the sun, this drives the title "homeward". Thanks for the feedback, as Al says, its all feel anyway and I appreciate your comments.

    Hi Jeff,
I like the composition, image and capture...your bird is placed just right in frame...I like the tones and hues of the background...well done...

Hi Jeff Ideally you would want the bird on the lower left corner banking toward the sun for that effect !!

With any small bird in frame presentation it will look better closer to one of the corners Really like what you are trying here .. thinking out of the box !!! Good one Beep !!!

Thanks Al, in this image I let the viewer decide if he is flying into or away from the sun - just having some fun.

Love the tones here Jeff and the silhouette of the bird. Nice vision for a shot.

Very nice colors and silhouette here, Jeff. Great idea!

Just one point I will mention, if you wanted the sun to be a major element in the picture, I would suggest showing more of it. As it is, it's not obvious that it's the sun in the ULC. That said though, I like your picture just as it is!

Thanks Chris, more sun would be too bright and totally take over the picture, IMO. Its the balance of both that matter to me.
