    Jeff:

I really like this one. Lovely color, nice silhouette, sun handled very well, like the subtle arc of light behind the bird, almost like a sun dog.

From a compositional standpoint, the 1st thought I had was that there was too much canvas to the right, because I assumed (not sure why) that the bird was flying towards the sun. In looking at it more, I really can't tell which way he is flying, but suspect from the way you cropped it, that in fact he was flying away from the sun, in which case it works well. I think the title made me think he was flying away (if that makes sense)

Will be interesting to see what other peoples first impression is!

    Thanks for sharing this one!

I like the simplicity of this Jeff - the title is very descriptive. I find the upper left a bit bright and would push the colours warmer as it almost has a green tint to it.

Interesting concept Jeff. I like the idea of the bright spot in ULC, but would tone it down just a bit (while trying to keep the current mood). Good thinking on this one!

Beautiful sky color. I would like to see a smoother transition of color into the bright area in the ULC.

Hi Jeff, I love the idea and colors. Judging by the caption, the bird is flying away from us, going home. For a stronger composition, smaller subjects look better when placed closer to the corners of the image. Nice gradation of warm BG.

Sit back and view, can you see the rings of sun color?

Jeff, I like the graduated colors and mood created. The sky has beautiful rings from the sun. Fabs brings up a good point with the composition, however I'd hate to see you lose the feel you've got going on with the rings.
