    Shadows are a compositional element in this autumn scene, helping to lead the eye to the central element, where the road bends and the light is the strongest. At least that was the idea... :) Taken out of the box with Topaz Simplify.

    Kerry, I love the effect on the leaves! The shadows are great!! Nicely done.

    Hi Kerry, the colors really bounce out at you and nice composition. If this were mine I would take out the 2 hot areas in the leaves and fill in the white band in the back. Pretty!

    Kerry, This is beautiful. It looks like a watercolor and I kind of like the white areas - it reminds me of the areas
    of watercolor paper that are left blank (for lack of a better description:D) in a watercolor. Anyway, it's very
    artistic.

    Cheryl, you got it! I like to see some of the paper show through in a watercolor. It's part of the technique. Thanks for your kind words. :)

    Kerry, excellent composition in all respect. The choice of subject, watercolor effect and the long shadows... it just makes me be there. Excellent work.
