Don't remember the ID of this little guy but it came from The Solomons during a trip on the Bilikiki Used an Aquatica housing, Nikon F3, 105 micro and twin SR-2000 strobes.
Thanks David !! The original slide was always on the dull side, it was developed abort the dive boat and
E6 chemicals were about exhausted !!!
Tried printing on directly on R paper and from internegative but never came out well !!! Your version is just what the fish looked like :) Big Thanks its just perfect !
Great sharpness and lovely soft colors. Killer job on the repost. I'd crop a bit from the botttom just a bit to lose the one black hole near the center.

Agree with Arthur about cropping from bottom. David repost is great and your fish is a very handsome one. Love the underwater vegetation presented here.
My best ichthyology guess is it's a kind of Pseudanthias sp. Al, also called Basslet or seabass from memory. Love it and DT's repost emphasizes the brightness and colors perfectly. COngrats! I am pulling some shots out from now on (underwater ones that is). :)
Hi Alfred, In my experience, these little guys are notoriously quick and not particularly easy to capture...you've done a great job in fish position, DOF, comp and lighting. David's repost has brought back the stunning colours that present themselves when flashed. I like the compositioin as presented, but a bit cropped off the bottom would work well too.
BTW, your fish is a Threadfin Anthias (Pseudanthias huchti).
You've inspired me to re-work and post some more of my U/W images...
