Default Great Egret at Horicon Marsh

This is my first post here. I took this photo yesterday on my travels in and around Horicon Marsh, Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Welcome to BPN and nice first post. I like the soft light and pose. It would be even stronger if the bird had faced you. Could you have moved to your right? I would also sharpen the bird a bit more. Keep them coming!

Thank you Axel. I couldn't move at all for fear of spooking him unfortunately. Thanks for the tip on Sharpening. I need to get in the habit of doing that.

Agree with Axel regarding head angle. Like the water droplets.

Adding on the above comments, the blades of grass are a bit distracting, and detract from the image.

    Looking forward to more!

Wellcome on board sparkphotog (please, try to update your user name and change it for your real name. If you can not do it just drop a PM to Alfred Forns and he will help you).

I like the soft light in this image and the timing. The head turn is not the best but I love the water droplets and the fish in the beak :-)

    Keep them coming
