Came across this photo of a Peregrine Falcon (with lunch) from last summer and would love to get comments. Harsh late morning light was a bit of a problem.

In case you are wondering, it looked to me that lunch is (was) a young California Gull.
The image was captured on July 30, 2008 near Long Beach, Pacific County, Washington.
HI Ted - like the action - good HA and eye contact. The main issue here for me is the Harsh light, as presented it looks a little flat and lacking contrast - some tweaks will help improve a little - IMHO.
Not much you could do about the light - doesnt look like he was willing to wait for sunset for his meal :)
Hi Ted,
I like the composition and capture, the image is a tad under exposed, the colors look washed out...would recommend on adjusting the saturation and contrast just a tad...I like the head angle a eye contact...looking forward to your next one...
Hi Ted You probably made the best possible image from your location !!!
Exposure wise looks about right, more would have helped the shadows but then you had to deal with a bunch of blown feathers on the ground. About all I can think of doing here is going to ground level for helping the bg, does give a different perspective !!! ... even that would be a trade off since you would eliminate some of the prey !! Fine looking image !!!
Nice capture and composition. I agree with Gus that the colors look a bit drab. I think it's a bit of a cyan cast. You might try pushing the reds a little (selective color adjustment) and fading the background details (curves).
